Yeah, anything durable or agile enough to get past the rock pillars probably won’t care much about a burning floor. Unless it’s a troll, which should still be susceptible to freezing solid and putting in handcuffs, or a vampire, in which case it might not be able to get this far without an invitation anyway. Is that how vampires work in this setting? Also, Grease would have made this little routine much more difficult, if properly applied.
More importantly, why was gas not included? Cone of Cold would have helped, too.
