Deakin’s elf buddy is named Malhavoc Maeral (“mal” is pronounced like shopping mall, “havoc” is more like havOWk–I felt giving him a big grandiose name seemed appropriate to his demeanor. He’ll get an intro box when he actually has a line, which will come up, but I felt that in the context of Deakin’s story, he wouldn’t have bothered to mention the name, so it seemed appropriate to leave it out of the actual page.
Ah, so /that’s/ why he now looks like he belongs in Metal Gear Solid. Give him a signature gun that can apparently kill tanks and a government job, he’d fit right in.
Oh. I want to see the local equivalent of the Metal Gear series. And maybe Devil May Cry. Do local Dwarves often make videogames?
I always figured that dwarves (in general, at least) in Zokusho would be more involved in making what they would consider “useful things.” The entertainment industry probably falls more to gnomes and halflings.
